Music is an important part of our lives. It can speak to our souls using all our senses. We not only can hear the notes, we can also feel them. Music can take us to other times; ones we can see, smell, and touch in our hearts. It also can take us by surprise as we taste the emotions it produces.

Just as music is important to us, it was also important in Bible times. We find music and instruments mentioned throughout the pages of Scripture. By exploring who used music and why in the Old and New Testament days, we can enrich our study of the Bible.
