397) It’s not unusual for families (even dysfunctional ones) to adopt the unspoken loyalty clause, you mess with them, you mess with me. Proverbs 14:31 reminds us that God maintains this clause. This is a comfort, and at the same time, a warning. We are protected by God and He protects others – perhaps even from us.
