Different Thoughts

1937) It amazes me there are some on social media and other digital platforms who say there is no difference between the sexes. When I hear this, I laugh. See if this rings true for you: My husband will talk about the west end of the house or the road north of the interstate. I just look at him, frown and get out Google Maps.

There are so many other examples I could name concerning this difference, but there’s another kind of different thought pattern and I’m reminded of it in Isaiah 55:8.

Here, Isaiah reminds us God’s thoughts are not our thoughts. I understand this to mean that God thinks and sees things from a different perspective than ours. I find this reminder useful when something happens, I do not understand; when I cry out to God and say, why?

It would be nice to know specifically what God thinks about our lives. That will be true one day. In the meantime, the verse can be enough.
