1933) If someone is truly looking to fill the part of themselves that is never satisfied, they may choose different ways to fill it. There is so much in the world that is offered to this person and because of this, we need to be a map to help them find what truly does satisfy.
Matthew 5:2-11 gives us Jesus’ description of what kinds of maps draw people to him. He is telling us to be poor in spirit, to mourn over spiritual things, to be meek, to hunger and thirst after righteousness, to be merciful, peacemakers and enduring persecution for Jesus’ sake.
If we truly demonstrate these things, when someone is looking for that “thing” they are missing, they’ll be drawn to Jesus because the above list is full of choices which last beyond the now; they are reflective of who Jesus is.
If someone’s looking for true satisfaction, what will they find if they look at you?
