1909) Verses like Proverbs 1:3 left me questioning a truth from God at one time. It tells us we will dwell secure and at ease if we listen to God’s words. It says if we do these things; we do not need to dread disaster.  

What left me questioning is, how can I not dread disaster when the world I live in is often full of it and it spills on the page of my life? I think the answer lies in trusting that God only lets what’s for our good be written on our life’s pages.  

This good may not be what we think of as good, but God promises this in Romans 8:28. Disaster may come our way but, in God’s wisdom and power, he can use it to produce so much good. It takes faith to stand on this promise.
