The Comfort of Always

1857) If you ever dare to spend time with tweens, you’ll be put before the bar of judgement on much that you say.  If you tell them, “If you don’t have your homework done, you’ll be in at study hall to get it done.”

Then the day came when I find out one of my young scholars was at the emergency room for hours the night before and I let them go to recess instead of study hall . Well, you can probably hear a study haller rage with injustice.

You told me I had to stay in but she doesn’t have her homework done and she gets to go out. In other word, you aren’t truthful.

We all know that circumstances alter cases, but children struggle to understand. Being truthful can be complicated but, John 17:17 tells us something about truth that isn’t.

John tells us that God’s word is truth. What he says is the final word on circumstances. You don’t have to look for ulterior circumstances. God tells us the truth. Always.

There is comfort in always.
