Introductions:

The Tabernacle:

A study of the Tabernacle and the Ark of the Covenant is useful not only for the biblical knowledge of its history but because it reveals to us a God who wants to be with us.

The Tabernacle, and later the Temple, are symbols of the righteousness of God’s being and the grace and forgiveness he offers when we choose to go our own way.

God did not have to provide atonement for our sinful actions, and yet he did. The Tabernacle provided a holy place that could offer a reconciliation between God and his people.

Included in this packet are teaching notes and handouts that are blank where they can be filled in during this study.

Synagogues:

A study of synagogues used in Bible times is useful not only for the historic knowledge but also its significance and purpose. Throughout the gospels, synagogues are in use and understanding their history, purpose and  general structure is helpful in Bible study.

In this download, you will receive an introduction to synagogues and what their purposes were. You will also receive a concise list of officials associated with synagogues and what sorts of activities took place in them.

After the completed handouts, you will also receive blank ones that can be used for filling in as you progress through this series. This is perfect for Bible classes or studies.

Ark of the Covenant:

The Ark of the Covenant carries with it a mystic feeling because of its history in the Bible but also because movies and intrigue. Because of this, it’s important to sift through the attention given to this symbol of God’s presence to learn the facts and not the hype.

In this download, you will receive:

A general introduction to the Ark of the Covenant, including:

* What the Ark of the Covenant was and its purpose.

* What items were stored in the Ark of the Covenant.

* What was the appearance of the Ark of the Covenant.

You will also receive blank copies of handouts so they can be used in the classroom or in a Bible study or small group.

Sacrificial System of the Bible:

In Bible Times, in order to be forgiven for the things you did wrong, a sacrifice must be made. Priests usually carried these out, but in narratives found in the book of Genesis, for example, the men of God carried them out themselves.

Something of interest. There were no sacrifices provided for intentional sin. These sins had to be covered on the Day of Atonement.

In this download, you will learn about 5 different sacrifices, including the animals or crops used, the specific actions required, the role of the priests, and the meaning or reason behind each sacrifice.

You will also receive copies of the pages that are blank so you can use them in classes and/or Bible studies.
