Heavenly Surprises

It might be helpful if we treat others well and leave their thoughts and actions for God to deal with.

1800) I’m not great with surprises. In almost all situations, I’d rather know about something ahead of time rather than in the moment, even if it’s something good. Being aware of this is helpful.

Speaking of surprises, we may have overlooked one found in Psalm 87:4. This verse tells us there will be Egyptians, Babylonians, Philistines, and those from Tyre and Ethiopia gathered in heaven at the end of time. Why is this a surprise? Mainly because most of these nations were enemies of Israel at different points of history.

Why is this information helpful? Because sometimes I forget I shouldn’t pass judgement upon those I consider “enemies” or at least those who mistreat me. God is dealing with their hearts. This is not my business.

It might be helpful if we treat others well and leave their thoughts and actions for God to deal with.
