An Unusual Audit

1784) Every year, getting our tax information together and filed seems to get more complicated. It makes me wonder that all of us don’t get audited by the IRS because it’s so easy to make mistakes.

In reflecting on audits, James 4:11 comes to mind. Here, James tells us not to speak evil of our brothers. The Greek word for speak here is katalaleó which means to not speak down about each other.

The words looking down implies a feeling of superiority, but if we audit our spiritual lives, it’s clear we don’t have any right to look down on others.

Audits can be helpful.
