Later

1673) Growing up, I heard the word, “later”, frequently and I find I use it a lot with my young scholars. When I asked certain things of my parents, an easy answer was, “Later.” Why is this an easy answer? Because there is no dialogue that is necessary beyond this pronouncement. “Later” can mean a yes and not an end-of-conversation, “no.”

Because many of us have gotten this ambiguous reply, we can sometimes think God is using this word in the same way. The good news is, when God says later, it will happen.

One of these “laters” is found in Revelation 20:10. This verse informs us Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and will no longer contaminate and destroy things in this life and, especially, people. God will put a stop to this – later.

Faith is the driver when seeing and experiencing horrible things on this earth. Even though the “now” can be cruel and unbearable, God will make right everything, if not now, later.
