1646) One of my young scholars recently came to school with her shirt on inside out. There was no one in the room yet, so I quietly suggested she visit the restroom and turn it inside out. She shot out of the room like a flash and returned a few minutes later, dressed correctly for the day.
This brief incident came to mind when I read Colossians 3:12. Here, Paul tells us to put on compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience. These things do not come to us automatically; they must be put on. The choice needs to be made.
Perhaps it would be useful to put these things on along with we get dressed in the morning.
