There is one type of person who we need to stay away from. In Proverbs 20:19, we’re told to not associate with gossipers. These people have a deadly agenda.

Deadly? Seriously? Yes. Jesus tells us in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5:21-26 that these types of words are the same as murdering someone. Why? Because words can kill. The sticks and stones saying isn’t accurate.

The next time someone wants to tell you some “interesting” information about someone else, have the courage to leave the conversation.
