Treasure Hunt

1581) If you listen to what others say and watch what they do, you can find out some crucial things about them. Jesus tells us why in Matthew 6:21. Here, he says where and what we treasure reveals what we value.

Not all values are bad. If you treasure the jolt of adrenaline, you may participate in activities, such as skydiving. (Nope, not me!) If you treasure family time, you make room in your busy schedule to spend time with them.

Some values aren’t particularly good. If you value putting others in “their place” because it makes you feel better about yourself, it communicates loudly what your character is. You get the point.

I read somewhere once that said if your life (example) is the only Bible someone reads, what would the contents communicate to them?
