1463) Sometimes in life we experience the betrayal of someone who was supposed to be our ally. This person was someone who supported you and then, they shift and leave you left standing by yourself. These moments always bring heartache.

James 1:6 describes this very thing when one moment, we are putting our trust in God and then the next; we pull it away and rely on ourselves (or someone else). God must feel the same way we do in similar circumstances.

When we think about the pain we feel with this divided loyalty, it can be a reminder of what God feels when we act in similar ways. May this be a wake-up call.
