Lists

1428) For years, my husband and I traveled up and down the east coast between North Carolina and Maine. Though these trips were grueling and seemed endless, there was always the anticipation of our destination. Because we would be away from our home for a couple of months, I used to make lists of what we needed to bring with us and I checked them before we left Maine to make sure we had what we needed to bring home. I wanted to take certain things and then return with them.

1 Timothy 6:7 reminds me of this. Here, Paul tells us we entered this world with nothing and we’ll leave it the same way. We don’t need any lists.

If we can focus on this truth, it can help with establishing priorities.

What are you doing in this world that will last into the next?
