1346) I have mentioned before I spent an entire summer in Gibraltar on the southern tip of Spain. Among many other things, it was interesting for me to discover, though you often hear something being compared to the solid rock of Gibraltar, the rock itself is not solid. There are miles of tunnel in the rock, making parts of it vulnerable to crumbling. Because things truly are not all they seem, it is prudent to put things to a test. This will reveal whether trusting in what it seems to be is a good idea.

In Psalm 18:2, David states God is his rock, fortress, and deliverer. He knows this because he can look back on his life and see all the evidence God is these things. He has the strength to continue.

Sometimes we need to stop long enough to look back and see what God has done in our lives. It reminds us the foundation of our faith is solid and reliable.
