Guidance

1341) In my classroom, we do some team-building exercises. The students enthusiastically embrace these, though I’m not sure if it’s because of the activity or because they get out of regular class time. Either way, these produce many good things.

One thing I’ve done is break kids into pairs. One would be blindfolded. First, the blind-folded person had to move through an obstacle course and, finding they were unsuccessful, the “seeing” partner then verbally guides the blinded person through it, resulting mostly in success.

The kids learned quickly when you’re blindfolded, moving through the obstacles didn’t work but, if they’re partner could communicate successfully, they made it through the course. There are many times in this life when we seem to be blindfolded. The hurt, pain, and confusing circumstances blind us in the way God wants us to go. The good news is, God is here to guide us. All we have to do is ask. Psalm 37:23-24.
