1247) Many years ago, I went to a Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Museum at Prince Edward Island. I found it very interesting. One exhibit displayed items that have been found in the bellies of whales. There was a full-size anchor from a ship. Amazing!
As I think about the anchor I saw, I reflect on 1 Thessalonians 5:14. Paul tells us we are to help the week. The word for help here can also be translated to “anchor” the weak or the people “without strength.”
Sometimes the difficulties of life can be overwhelming. If we can learn to offer our anchor to others and to also learn to seek others’ anchors, we might find these dark times can be more bearable.
Look for the anchor.
