1218) Social media has made humility an expensive garment. Most of our posts usually display our best selves and when they don’t, it’s easy to weave in some threads of victimhood. Humility is a superpower that isn’t tapped into enough.
Paul tells us to put on the clothing of humility in Colossians 3:12-14.. This means that we need to continually monitor our outlook of ourselves; that we regularly recognize our weaknesses and our limitations. Wearing humility does not mean that we don’t strive to be our best selves. Instead, it’s recognizing that we must keep working, keep watching for bad attitudes that need to be shed. It’s putting ourselves on equal ground with everyone else.
Wearing humility gives us strength even if it appears to do the opposite.
