Our Warrior

1190) My brothers and I used to watch wrestling growing up. I assure you this was not the serious competitions that are hosted by high schools or the Olympics. We’d watch what they would do and try it on each other. These wrestlers were strong (and loud) warriors we would probably stay away from.

It’s interesting Zephaniah calls God a mighty warrior. He tells us God is strong and then he also says God is someone who delights in us and sings to us songs filled with rejoicing that we exist.

If we could actually see this powerful spiritual warrior delighting in the sight of us, and singing praises to each of us, what kind of difference would this make in our lives?

We could tackle each task God sends our way without worry or fear.

We could accept anything God sends our way. God is our warrior and if we’re wise, we’ll stand strong, knowing God is our strength. Zephaniah 3:17
