1176) When I was younger, there was little that stopped me. In high school, I could run all the basketball drills for hours without it phasing me too much. When I first entered the workforce, I could spend hours in the evening, getting ready for the next day in the classroom. I could also fly through the workday without ever wishing to sit down for just a bit. These things are not true now that I’m older.
I have also found there are other parts of life that are more difficult for me than just physically.
I see conflict and demanding situations much more often. I am old enough now for friends and acquaintances, who are also aging, begin to die off.
The struggles over who I was, who I am and who I want to be are always shouting at each other. Some days I come home, barely able to put one foot in front of the other. The bottom line is, life is hard. This is true spiritually, too.
Life is hard; it’s a fact, but for God, NOTHING is too hard. Lean on Him; He longs to hold you up. Jeremiah 32:17
