1174)  Love is a priceless thing and often, people will do anything to get it–the “it” they think love is.

Some will try to earn it.

Some will lie to impress.

Some will compromise their values.

Some will be somebody they are not.

Some will give and give and give, hoping to receive.

Some will try to force love.

Some will just give up, knowing they will never have love within their grasp.

We want to be loved, but these things will not produce the results we want. Is it hopeless?

The good news is, we don’t have to do anything. We ARE loved by God and his love is powerful because it has a level playing field. You don’t move up the love ladder by actions, words, money, or status.

God’s love is yours just because you are you. This love is not conditional, but eternal. Jeremiah 31:3
