The rooms are designed to make your day-to-day life inside as comfortable as it can. How about shoes? Clothes? Vacations?
At Christmas, you hear the line, “O tidings of comfort and joy.” There is a great yearning in these words. Isaiah laments, “Comfort, comfort (God’s) people.”
People desire comfort, but many do not understand the difference between temporary and eternal comfort.
The Bible spends a lot of time telling us God is the Comforter. He yearns for us to come to him with anything and everything that is on our hearts.
Go to God, curl up on his lap and receive his comfort. Isaiah 40:1
