Time Limit

Because we live in a finite world, we must grow to understand that things around us have an end. Though we know this in our minds, when death visits, it often feels like a surprise.

For example, if you have pets, you know you will most likely outlive them, but when that time comes, it hits you like a ton of bricks.

If we truly embrace this reality, it will enable us to cherish those God has placed in our lives. This also helps mold how we live and relate to them.

These thoughts mirror a question I have encountered in many places. If you knew it was your (or someone/something else’s) last day on earth, what would you do with this time?

Death, and all that leads up to it, is hard to deal with. When a loved one dies, we yearn for their presence once again.

Psalm 116 tells us God is on the other end of this yearning. He loves it when His children leave this world and join Him. Why? Because you are precious to Him. Psalm 116:15
