1134) I can tell each day I’m nearing the end of my teaching career. As I work with kids throughout the day, the noise gets louder; the needs get harder to meet and my body gets tired a lot quicker. These things are all part of the normal aging process, but when I come home and later crawl into bed, I find resting very difficult. Why? I think because the part of my body that’s tired the most is my brain, and rest for this part of me is harder to come by.
There is another type of rest that’s hard to come by for most in the world, and that is spiritual rest. When a person has been forgiven, has a purpose to fulfill and knows in which direction they need to go, there is no better spiritual rest.
Do you find yourself in need of true rest and quiet spiritually? It comes from God alone. He will take even the bad and make it good. He is in control. You can rest in this! Matthew 11:28
