It’s funny how we can sometimes have the idea we need to “help” God out by doing something we think should be done in the way we think we should do it.
I wonder what crosses God’s mind when he notices us striving to help him out again. Does he shake his head and say, “Here we go again?” or “Why don’t they trust I will show them what to do?” Whatever God thinks, we can know he has a plan and if we’ll listen to him, it will work out better.
A good example of this is when Moses tried his way to help the enslaved Israelites in Egypt and failed. God tells him at the burning bush to do the job his way and promises, ‘I will help you speak and will teach you what to say’.
God will always help his people when they need it. He promises. Exodus 4:13
