Good versus Very Good

1106)  It’s interesting that things people label as good may not be good to me at all. For example, I would never say liver and onions are good, but my father would. I think going shopping is good, but my husband would rather be in a pit of snakes than go.

There are things, however, that are labeled good by someone of authority; someone you respect, and when I hear them say it, I can take their word for it. If my doctor tells me it’s good for me to cut down on sugar, I know I can agree because she has earned the authority to say so.

On the 1st 5 days of creation, God looked at everything he created and pronounced, “It is good,” BUT on the 6th day, after God created people, he said, “It is Very good.”

God is an authority on what he has created and if he says you are very good, you can believe him.

God cares so much about you, he labeled you as ‘very good.’  Genesis 1:31
