Genesis 1:27 tells us God created us in his image. This image is not physical, but spiritual, mental, and emotional. Let’s take this and couple it with the fact that God is love. (1 John 4:8) If we love others, we are behaving within the realm of the image of God. Loving in this manner gives us knowledge of how God relates to us and mankind.

The bottom line is, if you want to grow in your knowledge of God, love others. Philippians 1:9-11
