Much of what entertainment dishes out is full of things many would declare obscene, even a few years ago. It seems as if obscenity is a good example of the frog in the kettle syndrome. It sits in the water and because it gets hotter gradually; it doesn’t notice it until it’s too late.
Partnering with obscenity, as mentioned in Ephesians 5:3-7, is dangerous because its dominating power often comes so gradually. Paul knew this and states we need to be wary of it.
Choosing not to allow obscenity into your life will allow you to avoid troubles that often have deadly effects.
