1017) Here in Maine it is often said that there are only three seasons: winter, summer and mud season. If you live anywhere with snow and ice that accumulate during the winter, when these thaw, the ground becomes mushy and mud covers anything that travels through it. Therefore, my classroom floor is often coated with mud. Can you picture it? This illustrates something important. What one person does affects others like the mud from one student’s shoes can dirty the whole room. There are no lone wolves.
1 Corinthians 3:16 tells us that if we are God’s children, we are temples where God lives. Because of this, Paul reminds us that there is never a time when we do things that do not affect others, including God. There are no lone wolves and we need to stop thinking that we are.
