1005) My experience with Superglue has not been good. One time, when I was in college, the post of a favorite earring fell off and I decided it would be a good idea to super-glue it back on. Big mistake. I got a little dab of glue on the back of the earring, but getting the post to stick perpendicular to it wasn’t easy. I wound up having the post glued to my finger, and I had to pry it off. Not a pretty picture. Then, when I finally had it in the right position, I started to move the earring off the countertop to the windowsill to dry. I discovered it was glued to the surface. I had to use something to pry it off and when it did, part of the counter came off with the earring. I know…. you don’t need to say anything. Sigh.
Romans 12:9 tells us to cling to what is good. This word for “to cling” is kollaó in Greek, meaning literally to “glue together.” or bond with the good. Why? This life is full of so many bad things. God knew we need to bond with the good to survive.
Cling to what is good. Stay away from Superglue.
