Stifling Another’s Faith

988) It can be tiresome when we read, hear or watch others say that the Christian church is full of hypocrites, but the truth of the matter is, this is often true. There are so many Christians (me included) that say (or even write in my case) what we and others should be or shouldn’t be doing, and these are often the very things we aren’t or are doing.

I think we can all agree that because of our sinful nature, we will all make poor choices and yet,   Acts 2:24 tells us we need to be careful of what we say or do because it can keep others from embracing Christianity. This seems like a heavy burden, and it is, but there is also something powerful about admitting it when we do or say wrong things. It shows others that, despite our bad choices; we want to make things right and that God is a forgiving God. This is a huge demonstration of Christian faith.
