I can sit there and say to myself, What in the world did that person think that made what they did right in their own mind? But when these thoughts appear, I need to remind myself to be careful. Why? Because the root of many of these actions are things I also do.
If someone murdered someone else, I need to remember that Jesus said that being angry with someone is also murder (Matthew 5:22). If I see those who abuse children, what about the times that I treated some of my students poorly because they irritated me? I think you get the picture.
Paul tells us in Romans 2:1 that we need to be careful of how we judge others. We need to pay more attention to what we say or do.
