981) When something bad comes our way, whether or not we verbalize it, we often question God and ask him why? I know I do. I think that this is my attempt to make sense over the situation because if it makes sense, it’s easier for me to bear. The problem is, not everything that happens to us makes sense, but there is something else to consider.
In Acts 28:1-10, Paul is shipwrecked on Malta and is bitten by a deadly snake. The people there are amazed that Paul did not get sick and die. This gave him credibility, along with his message of salvation.
What I gain from this incident is that sometimes, when bad or difficult things come my way, I can trust that nothing will happen to me unless God intends to use it for my good and the good of those around me. After all, “if God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.
