The Illusion of Wealth

917) I love to go on the Internet and look up big houses for sale all around the world. When I click on a home, there are often many photos where I can see each room and details of the entire place. Sometimes I wonder what it would feel like to be in a house that, clearly, I can never afford, but I don’t dwell on it because I know an important truth. “Things” don’t automatically bring contentment or happiness.

Jesus warns in Luke 12:13-21 to not spend all of your time trying to accumulate things. Why? Because when you die, you leave them behind.

Not convinced? Consider this. If wealth brings contentment and happiness, why are there so many unhappy millionaires? Wealth is often an illusion.
