837) Throughout history, there have always been people who claim that the end of the world is near. There have been many dark periods of history when it’s easy to assume this. For example, the Roman Empire, World War II and even the situation of the world today. If you observed how the people of the world were and are acting, it’s easy to conclude that it must be close to the time when God Himself will end things. What will this ending be like from start to finish? I’m glad I don’t know a lot of details.

Daniel 7 gives us some information, though. In history, it will the ultimate climax of evil being defeated by Good. I know this is wonderful news, and yet it causes a little trickle of fear within. How bad does it need to get before God calls time? I do not know, but I do know that when God finally makes all wrongs right, it will be a time of rejoicing for those who are His children. In the seventh chapter of Daniel, we see that God clearly is in control.

What’s next? A world of people who live in the presence of a good and holy God.
