750) What do you see or focus on? It’s so easy to get lost in the forests of life and not see the beautiful field next to it. Yes, the stand of trees, vines, rocks, thorny bushes, ditches and dimness of light is before you, but do you remember that, according to the map you have, there is a beautiful field nearby?

Job remembered this and in chapter 19:25-27 we can read some of the most beautiful and encouraging words within the pages of this man’s life. He said, “I know my Redeemer lives (though he could not physically see this) and in the end He will stand upon the Earth (he knew this by faith). Job continues, “And after my skin is destroyed (death),….I will see God (live with Him in heaven.”

Job clearly saw the difficult forest, but he placed his faith on his map showing there is a beautiful field beyond his circumstances. We all have the same map (God’s word) so we can be people of faith, too.
