Wanted

740) Fortunately, (or unfortunately), your idea of God often comes from how He is introduced to you in your early years. If your family placed a priority on getting to know God and His word, it will follow you into adulthood. If you grew up with a horrible concept of Him, then God is not Someone you are immediately drawn to. You can even frame who God is based on how your own father acted. This may be good or bad.

In 2 Chronicles 6:30, God is described as One who knows people’s hearts. This can be heavy because we often focus on the negative–what our wicked thoughts and motives are. But, it’s also equally true that God knows our good motives and intentions–even when we fail. God knows us, good and bad.

The thing that blows my mind is that in knowing all, He still wants me. He still wants you, too!
