Give of Yourself Fully

631) When we read in the Bible or other books or hear sermons on the subject, it’s easy to assume what “giving of yourself fully” can mean. It must mean to always use the gifts God gave us and work to exhaustion. Even the Greek word for fully, περισσεύω, communicates going “above and beyond”. Yet, lately, God is showing me that sometimes, “giving of myself fully” can mean that I wholly admit that I can’t do everything or specific things that I deem important. This can be a vital example to other believers. God knows me thoroughly; He knows that I want to do what He instructs me but He also knows when “enough is enough” and I need to rest. Perhaps this is also a meaning of “give of yourself fully.”  1 Corinthians 15:58
