630) In our society, today, it’s not unusual for kids to continue living with their parent(s) into their 20’s or even 30’s. There are many reasons for this but I wonder if some may stay because being a “child” can be easier than being an adult. 1 Corinthians 13:11 addresses this issue in the spiritual sense. When I was young (spiritually) I acted like it; I reflected more on myself and my world. As I grew up, I “put away” childishness. This “putting away” means to sever myself from these actions. It is an independent choice to grow up and take the responsibilities that adults have. Staying a child is not what God meant for us. There is a need to grow up.
