2039) When I see the word hacks in a headline on the internet, it will catch my attention. Depending on the subject the writer is addressing, I may choose to look because my time is so full. Some hacks I’ve read and find genuinely helpful, but not all are.
I am a little concerned that we are getting used to looking for hacks rather than putting our noses to the grindstone. We can get into a habit of looking for substitutes that will help us avoid working with our sweat, ingenuity and hard labor.
Proverbs 22:29 states that skillful workers (not looking for the shortcut hackers) will stand before kings. This honor and privilege rarely comes as a result of making shortcuts.
There is often no substitute for hard work.
