Don’t Mix Up the 2nd with the 1st

1986) When Jesus walked the earth, many expected Messiah to be a judge and liberator for the Jews, politically. They thought Jesus would beat down all their enemies and finally make life “right” against such a long history of animosity and suffering. But Jesus did not come to do these things; he wanted to make things right, spiritually, for people, if they will accept his gift of salvation. BUT…

The next time Jesus comes, according to Revelation 17:14, he will be the judge. He will conquer all of his children’s enemies. He will rule and open the books and evaluate each one of us. If we’re his, because we have asked that Jesus’ death be substituted for us, it will be a time of rejoicing. Those who have not will be treated as the Jews in Jesus’ day hoped he would do then.

Jesus came the first time to redeem. He will come the second time to judge. Are you ready?
