1976) Take a moment and think back through your life. Can you remember any occasion when someone said something to you and the rest of the day, week, month, year, or your life changed, in a profound way, good or bad?  

I ask this question because it’s helpful to remember the power of words. As a writer and teacher, I need to take this seriously. Why?   J

ames 1:26 tells us if we don’t control our tongues, it makes our Christian witness worthless. Why? Because just as you can remember words that were said to you which have spanned the years, there are also others who hear what we’ve said and it’s stayed with them too.  

William Toms said it best. “Be careful how you live. You may be the only Bible some person ever reads.”
