1950) When I was in Bible college, there were individuals there many thought would do wonders for God in the future. Some of them did, but it’s interesting to read the alumni news and see the individuals who really did do mighty things for God and they weren’t included in the first group I mentioned.  

Many of the people who do great things for God are the ones others write off. Marry Magdaline is one of them. Mark 16:9 reminds us Mary had at one time 7 demons controlling her. Now, after God freed her from her demons, Jesus appears to her first, after his resurrection.  

No, Jesus didn’t appear to Nicodemus nor the disciples first, not that they weren’t doing big things for God. Instead, he appears to a woman, which in that culture was very unusual and he even appeared to a woman with a history.

If you have a past, you’re not proud of. If you’ve made choices which have produced horrible things in your life. Be encouraged. God forgives and his viewpoint of you isn’t the same as man’s or even your own
