1943) I have never been afraid of the dark, even as a child. It kind of surprises me because I’m afraid of so many things. I must say, however, that having lights burning in my kitchen windows is a welcome sight at night. It helps me find my way around and it brings an unspoken welcome.  

John 1:5 tells us Jesus’ light shines and there will be no darkness that will ever extinguish it. No matter how bad things get in the world, they will not overcome God’s light.
