1876) Proverbs 34:10 reminds us of an important promise God gives his children. It tells us those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. It sounds wonderful, but if you pause and think about this; it becomes a hard truth.  

We may know God provides all we need, but it’s the “good” part that is tough because this “good” is labeled from God’s perspective and not ours.  

Yes, rejoice that God gives us all that’s good and yet, at the same time, the tough things in life can also be for our good. This good may not be realized in the moment or for years to come, but choosing to take God’s word for it, along with the tears and fears, is the key to moving forward.

No, God does not take the pain in this life away right now, but there will be a day when we’ll understand the whys of this life. It takes great faith to wait for it.
