1860) Intent is a complicated thing. It gets down to the root of our motivations and actions.  There have been many things that happen when we didn’t intend it but, there are also many things we say and do, intending to lift up or tear down another.

John 10:10 tells us of a thief’s versus God’s intent for us. A thief, which I think can be broadened to include Satan, intends to steal, kill, and destroy us. Period. There is nothing he does for our benefit.
 
In contrast, God wants to give us eternal life and an abundance of all that is good.
 
Why would anyone choose what the thief gives?
