Rain

1823) If you’re not a farmer or gardener, it’s easy not to pay too close attention to rain unless there’s been too much of it or too little. Let’s just take a moment to think about it, though.

Rain is important to the world in which we live. It keeps everything alive. It washes over the plant and animal kingdoms and gives vital sustenance to us. Hosea knew this and he wrote in chapter 6:3 that God will come to us like showers; meeting our needs.

I think it’s also worth noting that Hosea did not say God comes to us like a flood, hurricane, typhoon or cyclone. He always gives us the right amount of substance right when we need it.
