1797) Something I do automatically is watch how others interact. I observe some of the best of humanity and some of the worst. This is especially true when I read about and see what’s going on in the political world.
I have seen people spew hatred, aggressively dismissing what others are trying to say. I see a lot of talk and very little listening. I am saddened by this and I’m fairly certain God feels the same way.
I have also wondered how the political scenes would change if we had, God forbid, another crisis similar to the 9-11 attacks.
Paul tells us in Colossians 3:14 that love binds us together. This love is not a blanket endorsement of anything someone else does. Instead, it is the choice of treating others with dignity and respect. This choice is powerful.
When I have been in a very busy shop and I see someone behind the counter in a frenzy, it amazes me how powerful, kind words and loving concern are.
Take the time to give the love God has planted inside us; it can make an enormous difference in another person’s day and life.
