Who’s Your Boss?

1725) The month of May is an interesting time to be teaching. You’ve got the excitement of end-of-the-year type activities. You have spring weather (though, here in Maine, not always) and Staff and Teacher appreciation week.

At our school, our administration does so much to keep the teachers and staff encouraged and appreciated. It makes working in our building so much better and less stressful than it could be. Doing my job is easier because of who is in charge.

Colossians 3:23 makes this same point. Paul reminds us that when we do the work we’ve been called to do, we need to remember who we’re working for. Just think, the God of the universe, the Prince of Peace, the all-powerful, the all-knowing and all-loving is our boss. Making the choice to remember this makes the job we are called to do a little lighter.
